Random Things

You know, it's so easy to take for granted our bodies. I really came to realize this this last week. I had to have a mammogram, my first one, for a baseline my doctor said (although I wonder if she had just some small concerns worth checking out). As if the whole process isn't unpleasant enough, they saw some things of concern so I had to go back in and do it again.

I had a little over a week between appointments. During the course of the week, of course I worried, until I realized that that wasn't going to help anything. Then I resorted to giving it up to God. It was up to Him if my life was going to completely change it's course, even if for a season. With the stress off of that my shoulders, it really made me take notice how much I was glad to have a whole body! It was a scary thought to think that something might have to be removed at some point and strange to wonder how that might make me feel. It definitely put me in touch with my own vanity!

Today I had the follow up mammogram, which still showed cause for concern. So then they shuffled me off immediately to have an ultrasound done for a closer look. Thankfully, everything was clear, praise the Lord!!! So today, I'm very thankful for my whole, healthy body, especially the ta-tas... :-D
